Peel From One Corner

Start by lifting one corner with a fingernail, plastic scraper, or card edge. Do not use a sharp metal blade on surfaces that can scratch easily.

Pull the tape back at a low angle. This gives better control and reduces the chance of lifting the surface coating.

If the tape breaks or leaves foam behind, stop pulling and soften the adhesive first.

Warm the Tape Gently

Warm air can help soften many pressure-sensitive adhesives. A hair dryer on a gentle setting can make the tape easier to peel.

Keep the heat moving and do not overheat one area. Plastic, paint, paper, laminated panels, and thin films may deform or discolor under excessive heat.

For valuable surfaces, test the method in a hidden area first.

Clean the Residue Slowly

After the tape backing is removed, sticky residue may remain. Use a mild cleaner, adhesive remover, alcohol, or oil-based cleaner only if the surface can tolerate it.

On painted walls, paper surfaces, leather, and coated boards, solvents can cause damage. Work in small areas and wipe clean after the adhesive softens.

For paper packaging surfaces, complete residue removal may be difficult without tearing the paper fibers.
